Tex Elliot's vintage sounding 1970's era Blues Rock sounds like he's squeezed out of the lemons and gave you a tequila shot. This is no frills raw, amps humming, strings shaken, speakers tearing music with powerful emotional and soul drenched bluesy vocals. At Ten tracks, it's a blistering set that sounds like it came straight out of a mixing board of a smoke filled Club, but without the drunks and the crowd noise. The best part is there's no SRV aping riffs or tone, but Tex's tele snarls and tears at the strings, sending unexpected fuzz leaden feral notes that tears at the blues cannon with a throat shaking vibrato. The song writing is strong and all the tracks are original and not covers. Little Queen, and Heaven or Hell would've probably had a good chance of commercial FM Radio play back in the 70's. But there's no filler tracks here. A solid album from top to bottom.
